Library District was established in 2012 to provide library services to county residents located within the Sedro-Woolley School District boundaries. In 2018 the city of Sedro-Woolley contracted with the Central Skagit Library District to serve city residents. A new 11,000 square foot library facility was built and opened to the public in June of 2021.
